
About Dr. Melissa Marie O’Brien, Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Melissa Marie O’Brien, (formerly Dr. Boulos), ND is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. Her approach blends evidence-based medicine with a genuine appreciation for the human experience, recognizing that health is deeply connected to lifestyle, emotion, environment, and community.
Before pursuing naturopathic medicine, Dr. Melissa developed a strong foundation in the social and behavioral sciences. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a specialization in Family and Social Relations at the University of Windsor, following her diploma in Social Service Work - Gerontology from St. Clair College. Her early career involved working in nursing homes, home care, and community support programs, experiences that deepened her understanding of aging, resilience, and the importance of compassionate, person-centered care.
Dr. Melissa went on to earn her Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Ontario. Today, she offers integrative, evidence-based care that emphasizes balance, prevention, and meaningful connection to self and wellness. Her philosophy centers on empowerment, awareness, and helping individuals cultivate health that feels both sustainable and authentic.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Melissa values slow living, trying new recipes, browsing local markets, and caring for the plants that bring calm to her space. These small rituals reflect her belief that wellness grows through connection, nourishment, and presence.
